We are looking for Safety Mentors!
A Safety Mentor plays a meaningful and influential role, serving as a mature, supportive, and guiding figure for youth in schools and the community. The role combines personal guidance with a “big brother” or “big sister” approach — offering presence, listening, and support in dealing with everyday challenges. Safety Mentors help prevent violence, drug and alcohol use, and foster a sense of responsibility, security, and mutual care among students. If you’re passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people — this is the place for you.

The Haifa Community Safety Authority leads the municipal and governmental efforts to strengthen residents’ sense of personal security. We work to prevent violence, crime, and substance abuse, while promoting safe public
spaces, protective education, and diverse community activities. Through close cooperation with law enforcement, the education system, welfare and health services, and local organizations, we provide comprehensive responses to community needs
and keep Haifa safe, protected, and strong for all its residents. Together, we build a safe and supportive community — at home, in the neighborhood, and throughout the city.
