The Parent Patrols aim to:

• Prevent risky situations in nightlife and gathering areas across the city

The patrols are made up of volunteer parents who embody the values of care, responsibility, and commitment to the local community.

How the Patrols Work

Patrol activities are carried out regularly in the places where youth gather most:

• Weekend and Event Patrols – active on Friday nights, holidays, and special events in parks, community centers, nightlife areas, and other popular gathering spots.
• Open Conversations – engaging with youth in a direct and respectful way, discussing relevant issues, and offering practical guidance and support.
• Risk Prevention – identifying early signs of risky behavior and referring young people to professional assistance when needed.
• A Listening Ear – many young people feel more comfortable talking to a neutral adult; the patrols provide emotional support, advice, and a caring presence.

How to Join the Parent Patrols

The Community Security Authority invites parents in Haifa to join the patrols and become active partners in the city’s community effort to protect its youth.

Interested parents can complete an online registration form and take part in training sessions to prepare them for field activity.
