The graffiti-covered facades in the Flea Market area and on Shivat Zion Street, which had been defaced and vandalized by unknown individuals, underwent a complete and vibrant renewal.
The “Coloring the Street” event took place throughout the day on Shushan Purim, transforming the streets into a festive, community-driven creative space. During the event, 25 graffiti artists—most of them Haifa residents and some new immigrants—worked together to create new, colorful, and lively artworks. The artists’ work was accompanied and guided by the Haifa-based Zehmanish Studio team, which led the artistic planning and execution process.
The project was designed not only to repair the damage, but also to strengthen the sense of safety, community engagement, civic pride, and positive visibility in the public space.
The Authority will continue working to promote safe, clean, and welcoming public spaces for all residents of Haifa.
